A landmark national study involving 11,499 respondents across 88 districts, assessing consumer awareness, rights, and redress mechanisms across India. Released by the Minister of State for Consumer Affairs at New Delhi, October 2012. Amarjeet Singh served as a key project team member under CUTS International / ConsumersUp.
ConsumersUp Project (2011–2012): Indian Consumers in the New Age
National advocacy project for a forward-looking consumer agenda, implemented across four states (Tripura, Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Karnataka) with Ministry of Consumer Affairs support. Formed the foundation for the State of the Indian Consumer 2012 report.

Big Tobacco Tiny Targets — National Survey (2017–2020) 📰 TOI Covered
A multi-city survey of tobacco sales near schools across 20 cities in India, covering 487 shops within the COTPA 100-metre restricted zone. Tamil Nadu findings (68 schools in Chennai, Coimbatore, Pudukottai) released March 2019. Amarjeet Singh Panghal of Consumer Voice released findings and was quoted by the Times of India, Chennai. The 2020 edition expanded to 1,011 schools nationally.
Tobacco Control & Vendor Licensing Advocacy (2016–2024)
Research, state-level workshops, and enforcement training under the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) and Consumer Voice. Workshops conducted across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Assam on COTPA enforcement and tobacco vendor licensing under MoHFW advisory (2017).

PRAN Foundation Legal Guide providing a plain-language overview of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 — key restrictions, penalties, and citizen rights for advocates, health workers, and the public.
Road Safety Advocacy & Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019
Policy reform and public awareness campaigns contributing to the landmark Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act 2019 — the most significant overhaul of road safety law in India in three decades. Conducted under Consumer Voice and associated road safety networks.

A national research brief by Crashfree India (supported by CARS24 and IRSC). Adv. Amarjeet Singh Panghal (PRAN Foundation) served as Subject Matter Expert, providing critical legal analysis on the "execution crisis" in Motor Accident Claims Tribunals (MACT) and the rise of unregulated intermediaries.

RESA Project (2008–2010): Capacity Building on Electricity Reforms in Bangladesh, India & Nepal
A NORAD-supported two-year pilot project implemented by CUTS International across West Bengal, Rajasthan (India), Bangladesh, and Nepal. Built civil society capacity for consumer participation in electricity regulatory reform. Amarjeet Singh was a core project team member, participating in the Final Review Meeting alongside NORAD and CUTS CCIER representatives.
Electricity Consumer Satisfaction Survey — Haryana
A World Bank-supported study assessing regulatory governance and consumer satisfaction in the electricity sector in Haryana — one of the early benchmarking exercises for utility consumer rights in India.

"Sale of Tobacco Products Outside Schools Continues Unabated in Tamil Nadu" 📰 Times of India
Times of India, Chennai — 27 March 2019. Amarjeet Singh Panghal of Consumer Voice, New Delhi is directly quoted releasing the Tamil Nadu findings of the Big Tobacco Tiny Targets survey. He highlighted that warning display boards were found at only 4 out of 34 points of sale, and spoke on the need for vendor licensing under the MoHFW advisory.
