For Organisations & Institutions
Partnership Models
PRAN works with civil-society organisations, grassroots groups, academic institutions, CSR partners, researchers and public institutions. You can join the network, refer matters, build a joint programme, engage PRAN for specific support, or develop research together. Choose the model that fits your purpose.

One organisation brings community reach and implementation capacity; PRAN brings legal, research and policy inputs. Roles and resources are agreed for each programme.

For NGOs, consumer organisations and community groups that identify matters needing legal or regulatory attention, such as consumer, banking and insurance, housing and RERA, public services, labour and livelihood, and public health and safety.
- Referral: share the basic facts and documents
- Merit and scope assessment: PRAN checks whether the matter falls within its mandate and capacity, and tells you candidly if it is weak
- Appropriate pathway: statutory grievance mechanism, legal information, legal assistance, referral to a suitable advocate or legal-aid institution, or public-interest research and advocacy
- Referral does not guarantee representation or legal action. Each matter is considered independently.

PRAN's role in such engagement rests on research, public interest and institutional independence.
How Partnerships Work
Fit for Purpose, Reciprocal, Transparent
PRAN does not use one structure for every collaboration. Each engagement starts from the problem and the public benefit it is meant to achieve.

PRAN considers legitimacy, mission alignment, track record, capacity, transparency and public-interest value. Depending on the engagement, we may ask for:
- Registration certificate, governing document and PAN
- 12A/80G and NGO Darpan details, where applicable
- Governing-body details and a programme profile
- Geographic coverage and a proposed project note
- Annual report and financial statements, where relevant
All engagements remain subject to mandate, capacity, due diligence, applicable law and the terms agreed between the parties. PRAN does not guarantee:
- Acceptance of every referred matter, or legal representation in every case
- A particular regulatory or judicial outcome
- Funding or grant approval for partner organisations
- Government action, or continuation of a partnership indefinitely

PRAN is a Section 8 non-profit with 12A and 80G approval. Your contribution helps sustain its legal aid, consumer rights, research and policy work. Donations are eligible for tax deduction as per applicable provisions, and are currently accepted from Indian citizens and Indian bank accounts only.
